• Recruitment 2012

  It's that time of year again - recruitment! We have already had our first two full days of official recruitment, display round and philanthropy round. We have really enjoyed getting to know the hundreds of lovely girls going through recruitment this year! We have met some amazing potential new members and cannot wait to figure out who will be a part of 2012's pledge class! We have several days before entertainment round of recruitment so that we can focus on starting classes and adjusting back to life at Vandy. Can't wait for the rest of recruitment and BID DAY!!

• Winter Semi-Formal and the End of the Fall Semester

  This past Saturday was the winter semi-formal for the Zeta Omicron chapter of Alpha Chi Omega! It was held at the Marriott Hotel in their beautiful ballroom. All of the sisters looked gorgeous in their dresses, and we had a blast on the dance floor! Our semi-formal marks the end of the semester (but really, the beginning of finals!) at Vanderbilt University, and boy, have we had a great couple of months! Six wonderful new members, ranch party, Alphatraz, semi-formal... so many fun activities, and so many yet to come in the spring. To all of my sisters, have an amazing break with friends and family! Relax and have fun! :)

• Another Successful Alphatraz...

  Every year, the Zeta Omicron chapter of Alpha Chi Omega hosts a fall benefit called Alphatraz. This year, representatives from each fraternity house on campus prepared a dance or song to perform for the attendees of Alphatraz, and three groups of Alpha Chi's prepared dances as well! Everyone did such an amazing job, but Alpha Tau Omega swept the competition, receiving the most votes from Alphatraz's attendees! Congrats, boys! Entertainment, yummy desserts, and fun - the perfect combination for Alphatraz 2011! Since our philanthophy benefits the YWCA of Nashville, Tennessee, all of the proceeds from Alphatraz went to the YWCA. We are so fortunate to be able to work with such an incredible organization!
  
  Our winter semi-formal is this coming Saturday, and after winter break, recruitment begins! We are so excited for our new members, whoever they may be! We can't wait! :)

  Finally, the sisters of Alpha Chi Omega have been reunited at Vanderbilt! We couldn't be happier to be back as a group, and we have so many things to look forward to this coming semester! This Friday, a group of us will be going on AXO's annual rafting trip. It will be a great time for friendship, fun, and adventure! Of course, with a new year brings new potential new members, a wonderful group of mostly freshmen who will participate in Panhellenic Recruitment in the spring. The Zeta Omicron chapter of Alpha Chi Omega is pleased to welcome these wonderful young women to Vanderbilt, and possibly to AXO in January! We are so excited for this school year because we know 2011-2012 will bring some amazing memories, new friendships, and tons of fun!

• Seniors, We Will Miss You!

  As the semester begins to wind down academically, Alpha Chi Omega chapters across the country must say goodbye to the graduating AXO sisters. We’re definitely excited to welcome summer after a busy, exhausting school year, but we are saddened to leave our sisters, especially our seniors, for such a long period of time. To honor them, we had our Senior Send-Off part last Thursday, which was certainly a fun night for all members of the Zeta Omicron chapter here at Vanderbilt. Next week, we will devote chapter to our beloved seniors and have a chance to say our (temporary!) goodbyes to them. We are truly blessed to have experienced these last few years with our seniors, and we will miss them dearly! To all my sisters at Vanderbilt: enjoy the summer! I will miss you! See you in the fall! :)
